I was waiting for an opportunity if I ever get and there is a time I used to work in quite a number of films with Jitender so he was making this film Khushboo and he offered me that Gulzar is directing this film so I was immediately so thrilled and accepted the movie because I wanted to do something different and a very down to earth kinds of roles at that time because in all other films I will be wearing that bell bottoms and roaming around with all kind of different wigs but Gulzar completely gave me a different and a vcery lovely image in Khushboo.

The first thing, I had to be in time on the sets which I never used to be so a little friction used to be there but it was really a pleasant memory working with him. It was nothing creation because I didn't know what I am supposed to do he was the one because since he knows the character what I was playing such a strong woman's role now I realized what role I played at that time because that time I was so young to understand."
