Thomas The Tank Engine Moving Face! 2nd Steam Train Stack Talk, Amtrak Booking Knocks Down Signal!

Thomas The Tank Engine, A Real Steam Locomotive & Steam Locomotive 89 Pull Passenger Trains Between Amtrak Interchange & Strasburg Railroad Station. The Trains Pass Back And Forth On The 4 Mile Long Tourist And Freight Hauling Branch. This is the Strasburg Railroad in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
I went to the Strasburg Railroad just to film Thomas The Tank Engine. This video is not made for children since these are real steam locomotives! Thomas was pulling passenger trains back and forth across the line along with another steam locomotive #89. These are real coal burning steam locomotives. BTW, it rained me out when I was trying to film the steam engine running around the train. More on that in a minute. Most of the video is shot at Cherry Hill which is halfway between the Strasburg train station and the interchange with Amtrak at Paradise, Pa.
We see a closeup of a spring switch at Cherry Hill. The spring switch automatically switches back to the main line after the train passes over it. This saves time and requires less work for the train crew. Cherry Hill is a stop for passengers on routine train rides and trains commonly pass here. I have videos of trains passing here that are must see videos.
I went to the end of the line at Paradise to film Thomas running around his train so that the train could return with Thomas on the front. While I was there I filmed a fast Amtrak train passing by at 109 mph. Unfortunately, it was raining and that caused me some trouble. My camera got so wet from the rain that I could not get it to record when Thomas finally ran around the train. I was planning on staying another night in Strasburg but the rain was too much and I decided to leave. I spent one night in Strasburg at a motel but right after my camera got soaked I decided to head west. Due to the rain I didn't get the videos that I had planned on so I will return next June when Thomas is back. This video came out pretty well with some great scenes so it wasn't a total loss.

The Lerro Productions special featured J Class Steam Locomotive 611 double heading a time period accurate mixed freight train with a Strasburg steam locomotive. I have made a few shorts videos from that event but I never put the long video together.
