We take a quick look at the new KDEConnect on PC-BSD allowing us to remotely control our desktop system.
Add these lines to pf.conf:
pass in quick on em0 proto udp from any to any port 1714 keep state
pass in quick on em0 proto udp from any to any port 17901 keep state
pass in quick on em0 proto tcp from any to any port 1714 keep state
pass in quick on em0 proto tcp from any to any port 17901 keep state
This can also be done with one line of code (Thanks TJ)
pass in quick on em0 proto { tcp udp } from any to any port { 17901 1714 }
Don't forget to replace em0 with the name of your network adapter.
To restart PF Firewall on PC-BSD:
sudo service pf restart
