The twisted herringbone stitch is a lovely variation of the regular herringbone stitch. After every new stitch you make, bring the needle under the previous stitch and wrap it with your thread. Then stitch on. If you already know the basic herringbone stitch, this one is very easy to do!

The twisted herringbone stitch can be used in the same way as regular herringbone stitches. I can imagine using it for botanical elements, filling areas, and pretty borders and seams.
