Dawn's husband, Don, was a proud marine veteran. He had 2 stays at Camp Lejeune, NC and did 2 tours in Vietnam. He ultimately was diagnosed with bladder cancer from the toxic water exposure that occurred at Camp Lejeune. Sadly, Don passed away.

Dawn and Don first noticed a problem at his son's wedding where he wasn't able to control his bladder. Embarrassed and concerned, they sought answers from a doctor who told them the devastating news of his cancer diagnosis.

Dawn and Don had plans to continue to grow together and experience life. They had recently purchased kayaks that were unable to be used because Don constantly needed to be near a bathroom. They could no longer go places like the mall, a place where Dawn and Don first met.

Don got to a place where he couldn't and didn't want to go anywhere for fear of being away from a bathroom. He was a proud marine who lived the end of his life in a way that no one deserves. Don was so proud that he always refused a wheelchair, until five days before his death when he was too weak to walk.

This is just one of the many tragic stories caused by the water contamination at Camp Lejeune. With the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, a widow like Dawn is able to file a lawsuit for the pain and suffering his husband's death has caused. Dawn wanted an attorney she could trust.
