REVERSE THRUST FAILURE | AirAsiaX A330-300 Landing Melbourne - [9M-XXS]

Описание: Landings are without a doubt one of the most dangerous phases of flight, the aircraft has return to earth smoothly, and then reduce to a safe speed for manoeuvring on the ground. Commercial aircraft use a combination of aerodynamic and traditional braking to help reduce the speed in a safe manner. A common way to do this is with the use of reverse thrust, which redirects the engines thrust to help slow the aircraft.

Whilst this aircraft did not suffer a complete failure, only the number two engines (right engine) failed to deploy, this can lead to a asymmetrical thrust situation requiring additional input from the pilot to keep the aircraft on centreline. Luckily in this case the pilots handled the situation perfectly and brought the aircraft to a stop without incident.
