Join me in Episode 22 of my epic Amsterdam-to-Portugal motorcycle journey as I tackle one of the most iconic rides in Portugal! Starting from a quiet hill-top village in the south of the Serra da Estrela range, I fire up my Yamaha Tracer 7 and navigate a maze of twisty mountain roads. The scenery is nothing short of stunning, with dramatic rock formations and sweeping high plateaus stretching as far as the eye can see.

Every turn on these Portuguese mountain roads brings a new breathtaking vista. I weave up steep switchbacks and hairpin bends and fear a flat tire on the rocky patch ahead. It’s both thrilling and nerve-wracking riding on a brief dirt road section, but the Tracer 7 handles it like a champ as we soldier on toward the summit.

Once I crest the Serra da Estrela, I descend toward a charming northern town, ending the day at a beautiful local church. The light hits the old stone walls just right, giving a serene end to a long day of riding.
