The Forest of Mystery is a foggy place, home of the ancient Master Sword. It’s twisted, wooden corridors can easily fool those with weak willpower, but at it’s heart sleeps the key to conquering the darkness of Hyrule. The theme of the forest is a hasty, upbeat tune, with classical qualities about it. It bears resemblance to the Prologue music in its tonality.
When we arranged this piece, we wanted to depart from the upbeat feel of the original, and give it a purer classical twist. The chord progression and sweet, harmonised melodies are perfect for the guitar, and we used a pick to add some dynamics as the song progressed. We also added a tiny solo, nothing too fancy, but a little something to elaborate on the pseudo-oriental sound of the chords progression. We hope you enjoy!
