The Kia Pride was originally a model from Ford in the United States and Mazda in Japan. It was introduced as a world car, collaboratively developed by the three companies. For Korea, it marked the beginning of Kia's era of compact cars. The Pride, which debuted in 1987, became a symbolic car that was cherished by 1,651,288 customers domestically until production ended in 1999. Production for export continued until 2005, and the Pride has remained significant globally up until 2023.
This exhibit features a restored model of the first-generation Pride from 1993, celebrating the legacy of a car that exceeded 10 million units in global production.
