Atty. Jimmy Bondoc believes Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s camp is focused on seeing the ongoing Blue Ribbon investigation through to its conclusion before making any major decisions on the Senate leadership standoff.

Speaking on #PolitikoTalks, Bondoc said the Blue Ribbon inquiry appears to be the bloc’s top priority, arguing that exposing alleged anomalies and ensuring the investigation reaches its endgame carries greater urgency for them than the impeachment proceedings.

According to Bondoc, once the probe has completed its most important work, Cayetano may feel that his mission has been accomplished. He also suggested that securing a conviction in an impeachment trial remains a difficult challenge, making the Blue Ribbon investigation the more immediate focus of the group.
