Описание: This performance is from early 1990's. Bill Douglas is a brilliant composer/pianist/bassoonist..bassoon playing folk may know of the Boulder Bassoon Band. that Bill founded. Not sure if it is still a working ensemble. Ty was Zakir Hussein's (one of the worlds great tabla players) apprentice/assistant and is a fab tabla musician in his own right. Bill Douglas used to work with Richard Stoltzman and when this association ended I had the good fortune to fill in the clarinet spot with Bill for several CD's and live concerts. This concert was at the Boulder Theatre if memory serves. Please do check out Bill's wonderful CD's several of which were released by the Hearts of Space label. Forgot to mention something important! The excellent cello playing is David Lockington. David went on to become a wonderful orchestral conductor in his own right.
