OYO Democracy Day: Coalition, Activists Stage Protest, Demand Reforms To Ease Living Conditions

Описание: The coalition for socialists, labour activists, and students on thursday protested against hardship and hunger, demanding a worthwhile living for every Nigerian.

The peaceful protesters gathered at the popular mokola roundabout and moved to some parts of Ibadan, including sabo, oke padre, dugbe, eleyele junction and agodi gate while security agencies followed the procession to avert any breakdown of law and order.

Some of the organisers lamented the failure of democracy is evident in areas like poor electricity supply, and bad electoral reforms, among other social amenities.

The protesters, called on the president bola Tinubu to ensure transparency, accountability, and other socio-economic reforms that will ease the sufferings of Nigerians.
