In recent times, there have been several very long levels with strong music representation, and "Video" by MaxxoRMeN is another noteworthy one. He already had "CITYFADE" a bit over a year ago, but this one is several minutes longer. It does have nearly six minutes of buildup before the climax, which is fair given the song's structure. However, I think the buildup does many cool things that tie into the song, making it interesting during this long and "chill" part regardless, for example how you're flying on top of a video player from 1:11. ImMaxX1 let me know that both the video in the background and the gameplay are randomized. You may miss it, but there is a one-second screen for the transition into this part, explaining a special gimmick. Essentially, if the "Bluetooth" stick figure is inside the video, you should stay on the foreground layer, but if not, you should fly to the top or bottom to enter the video player. This makes you a part of the background layer, avoiding all of the structures, spikes, and portals in the foreground. The foreground parts do get blocked eventually, forcing you to enter the video. This part might feel a bit long overall, but I like the variety of the videos shown, and it's also a neat touch that the lyrics of the song are implemented as subtitles inside the video player, making the song representation even stronger.
From 5:20, you are permanently inside the video, and then the climax happens about 25 seconds later. Seeing this payoff, I think the long buildup was worth it. I really like how chaotic and colorful it is, which matches the intensity of the song. It's not chaotic enough to get messy, though, as the structures, decorations, backgrounds, and effects are still clearly separated and nicely made. I like how the stick figure is still present even in this part too, for example at 6:17 where it can be seen holding a balloon and flying up. The constant changing of backgrounds, like the balloons seen for a few seconds here, also match the approach of the earlier video player part.
All in all, this was quite a unique experience to watch. I think it matched the speed of the song, which is an unconventional choice for Geometry Dash, really nicely. Compared to the only other Jane Remover song I've heard thus far, in "JRJRJR" by ImMaxX1 and MaxxoRMeN, I definitely found this one more enjoyable, so maybe I'll have to check out more of their works. As mentioned below, it's not out yet, and it's also gonna be a decently hard Extreme Demon, so I'm not commenting on the gameplay myself. According to ImMaxX1, who is gonna verify this, the first part is the hardest, while the video player part in the buildup is more of a Medium Demon once you know the gimmick. When you get to the climax, it's not as hard as the beginning, but it requires consistency and endurance since it happens after six minutes of playing. As a whole, this makes for quite unbalanced difficulty, which was an intentional choice that may not be to everyone's liking. It will be interesting to see how it is received by players upon release. Despite this, I definitely think this has a good chance of getting a Legendary rating.
