Here is the new train station entrance structure plus tunnel extension at the Montreal West train station / Gare Montréal Ouest.
Also included in this video is the original train station building which is s beautiful example of older, original train stations structures.
This recent project that took a few years to complete included extending the tunnel that connects the platforms to Sherbrooke Street and building a new entrance to serve that tunnel extension on Sherbrooke Street.
Also, the north platform was completely rebuilt and new signage and benches were added to the station as well.
As you can see, the tunnel is fresh and clean and the new entrance building has beautiful works of art.
The only thing that is missing from this project is an elevator which would have made sense considering there are universal access doors on the new entrance.
I really like the work of art hanging from the ceiling of the new structure as well as the signage.
For this video, I start the tour on the south side of the station and enter the original train station building and then finish the video at the new train station entrance structure on Sherbrooke Street.
