Neck Isometric Theraband Exercise is an exercise used to strengthen the muscles around the neck. To get started all you need is a small towel, theraband and a doorway.
Roll up the towel and tie the ends of the theraband to the towel. Toss it in a doorway and close, set the band to about neck height.
Place the therband on your forehead, contract your core and neck muscles, step forward while keeping your neck in a neutral position. This increases the tension on the band and the further you stop out the harder the exercise becomes. Make sure your shoulders are relaxed and breathe through the exercise, hold for 10 seconds. This works out the anterior neck muscles.
Turn 90 degrees and repeat the exercise to strengthen the lateral neck muscles.
Turn 90 degrees and repeat the exercise to strengthen the posterior neck muscles.
Repeat 2-3x on each side.
