Qabeli Palaw (Pashto: قابلی پلو) is a variety of pilaf made in Afghanistan and other parts of Central Asia. It consists of steamed rice mixed with raisins, carrots, and chicken, beef or lamb. There exist different variations depending on the region.
Qabeli Palaw is considered an important festive dish due to the quality of the ingredients and tradition wise it's the afghan's favourite dish. The dish is traditionally placed in the center of the meal with other foods making up the rest of the perimeter.
