A Prayer For Beginning Lent | Ash Wednesday

Описание: Lent begins each year on Ash Wednesday, 46 days before Easter Sunday. The Lent season is a 6-week time of reflection, remembrance and preparation before the celebrations of Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians replicate Jesus Christ's sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Lent is traditionally a time of fasting and abstaining, both from food and festivities. It is a time of repentance and of focusing our hearts and minds on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To begin this season, we ask for God’s grace to be upon us to make it more fruitful.
