On Wed., August 12, Emdeon opened for trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol EM after its successful initial public offering in which it raised $367 million in gross proceeds. Emdeon is the tenth domestic IPO, and the first healthcare-oriented company, to list on the New York Stock Exchange this year.
