SSB-U-Bahn-Spotting am Hauptbahnhof (Arnulf-Klett-Platz), Stuttgart

Описание: Part 4. From buses to U-Bahn (tram line/Straßenbahn). The Stuttgart U-Bahn is actually a hybrid between a metro and a tram, more of a tram. It is a tram that is going underground in some parts of the city. Here I am recording a compilation of the trains in the central station in Stuttgart, Hauptbahnhof.

From Hauptbahnhof (Arnulf-Klett-Platz) pass every hour approx. 7 lines at the weekdays (change on weekends): U5, U6, U7, U12, U14, U15 and U29.

The trains are specifically built for Stuttgart's topography. The model name is DT8. and is from different manufacturers built (3 generations). These trains have been upgraded and renovated over the years and so the ones who were "retrofitted" were changed numbers (3XXX to 4XXX) and later to DT8.S renamed.


1st generation:
Duewag, BBC, AEG, Siemens, SGP (ex. DT8.4-9 to DT8.S)['86-'96] No. 3007-3234


2nd generation:
Bombardier / Siemens: (DT8.10-11) ['99-2000 & 2003-5] No. 3301-3400

3rd generation:
Stadler (thumbnail) (8.12, 14) (No. 3501–3540) 2012–2014 and (No. 3541–3580) 2017-2018
