Every believer is engaged in a cosmic struggle—the great controversy between good and evil. Paul reminds us that our weapons are not physical, but spiritual: love, mercy, peace, and especially the Word of God wielded by the Spirit. In this war of ideas and values, Christ’s victory at the cross ensures that, no matter what happens to us, we can never be truly defeated if we remain connected to Him.
Paul’s declaration, “to live is Christ, and to die is gain,” reflects total surrender and trust in God’s will. Our calling is to fight for what’s right, not just for our rights, and to submit to God’s purposes—knowing that true victory comes through Him.
