A Caterpillar - Have you ever seen .
This is a video of a cassus casus or goat moth under a scanning electron microscope or SEM. The sample was taken from a dead specimen found in a moss sample.
This episode is part of a series where I look at insects under the microscope. I have the opportunity during my PhD (doctorate) to use a Zeiss scanning electron microscope (SEM). So I thought, why not use it whilst I am here.
In future episodes, I'll be looking at other stuff, organic or inorganic such as other insects, cells, bacteria, or blades, electronics, recording devices, K7, CDs, etc...
