We take you on a sightseeing-tour, bridge-style! Our drive along the river Adige guides us right through parts of Verona; and shows us multiple old/rebuild bridges. The sad history of most: They had been destroyed by fleeing Nazi soldiers in the 2nd World War.
Luckily the people of Verona have rebuilt the bridges, some of which originally dated to 100 before Christ (the Ponte Pietra). Especially beautiful are the Ponte di Castelvecchio with its stone spikes, the Ponte Pietra you might know as a tourist (in non-Corona-times small market stands sell specialities here) or the Ponte della Vittoria with its majestic figurines on each end.
The whole drive might seem short, but nevertheless most of the time driving parallel to the river makes this to a scenic road - topped of with the wunderful weather, this is definitely a way of approaching Verona, dont you think?!
