under Chinese domination.
One man looked at a river and saw freedom.

His name was Ngo Quyen.
And he was about to change history forever.

to Ngo Quyen and the Battle of Bach Dang River —
the battle that ended over 1,000 years of Chinese
rule and gave birth to an independent Vietnam.

The track features traditional Vietnamese instruments
— đan tranh and trong đong — woven into the
power metal framework, creating a sonic identity
unlike any other historical metal channel.

📜 HISTORICAL CONTEXT:
In 938 AD, Ngo Quyen — a Vietnamese military
commander — faced an invading Han Chinese fleet
sailing up the Bach Dang River.

His strategy was ingenious:
→ He planted iron-tipped wooden stakes in the
riverbed at low tide — invisible beneath the water
→ He sent decoy boats to lure the Han fleet upriver
→ As the tide turned and the water level dropped —
the stakes emerged and impaled the Han warships
→ His forces attacked from both banks simultaneously

The result was catastrophic for the Han fleet.
Admiral Liu Hongcao was killed in battle.
The invasion force was destroyed.

After nearly 1,000 years of Chinese domination —
Vietnam was free.
