This method of adding additional features to the Chevy Volt OEM infotainment systems such as reverse backup camera with dynamic guide lines, front view dash cam, apcasting, HDMI input, pass-through touch controls, etc. does not require any re-programming of the OEM head unit and easily integrates with the existing touch controls of the car to access its various features.
