𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠 𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: Police and Rangers Remove Occupants from Venice Beach Bathrooms

Описание: VENICE, CA — Friday, August 8, 2025 — A coordinated multi-agency cleanup operation was conducted Friday morning at the Venice Beach Restrooms, as part of the City of Los Angeles' ongoing efforts to improve sanitation, safety, and public accessibility along the coastline.

Led by Los Angeles Park Rangers in collaboration with Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) LA County Beaches and Harbors, the Department of Public Works, and Clean Harbors Environmental Services, the enforcement targeted a homeless encampment occupying the Venice Beach Restrooms.

Park Rangers instructed an individual inside the restroom to vacate the area and advised that any items left behind would be removed, in accordance with Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 63.44(b), which prohibits unauthorized lodging and personal property attachment in beach and park zones.

Advance notice of the cleanup had been posted prior to enforcement, and items left on site were collected per established city procedures. Outreach teams from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) were present to offer support services, including hygiene kits, food, clothing, and bottled water. Representatives from Councilwoman Traci Park’s office monitored the operation to ensure compliance and coordination among agencies.

No arrests or citations were reported.

City officials maintain that such operations are part of a broader dual-track approach aimed at maintaining public order while connecting unhoused individuals with available support systems.
