Ramdevara Betta is situated 50 kms away from #bangalore in the district of Ramanagara. The famous blockbuster #sholay movie was shot on this picturesome hill, Since then , post 1970s, this location has become extremely popular among tourists. Filmstars like Amitabh bachhan, Sanjeev kumar, Amjad khan, Jaya bachhan, Dharmendra, Hemamalini, Sachin, Ifter khan , Asrani has literally spent @2 years shooting the blockbuster movie sholay here. Ramadevara Betta Hill is the only Vulture #sanctuary in India and one of the best regions for #trekking. Different species of birds can also be found in this region, but it is especially famous for the vultures. These scavengers hunt small animals like Rats and Rabbits in the various nooks and corners of the hill and can be found hovering in circles above Ramdevara Betta. Birds like the Long-billed Vulture and yellow-throated Bulbul & other species can be found in this area.
