Описание: MUSC Children's Hospital Neonatal Nurseries is a 66 bed unit in Charleston, SC. It is located in four separate locations in two hospitals. We have 160 RNs. Despite all the barriers that exist with our geography we are a TEAM of NNICU nurses. We recently had to move all patients out of our Level 3 nursery for some electrical work to be done. Our Level 2 staff played a vital role in taking babies quickly so that census was more manageable during this time period. Knowing that not everyone has ever had the experience of evacuating for a hurricane, we decided to film it to be used as a teaching tool. I recently became the educator, but was a staff RN for 19 years in the unit prior to my new role. I have had the experience of evacuating babies during Hurricane Floyd. I have always loved how we come to together as a team to care for all of our infants (NNICU and Special Care). It is this pride that planted the seed for this video and Tara Lowry (a staff RN) and Rick McKee, her husband helped make it come true. We at MUSC Children's Hospital Neonatal Nurseries hope that you enjoy our video.
