Tirzah Garwood: Beyond Ravilious, Dulwich Picture Gallery, London - Embroidery, Paper craft and oils

Описание: This week I was visiting London and had the great pleasure of visiting the exhibition Tirzah Garwood, Beyond Ravilious at the Dulwich Picture Gallery. I went with a few of the Studio Clubbers from my online membership and we all loved it.

Tirzah Garwood was an artist working in England in 1930s and 40s - she was married to Eric Ravilious and part of the Great Barfield group of artists. I'm particularly interested in the different ways she found to bring creativity into her life after she married, had children and was responsible for a lot of the domestic work of entertaining artists that flocked to visit Great Barfield. I also talk about the painting she did in the last year of her life when she was bedridden with cancer.
