Now at Auction: 1943 GMC CCKW-353 ‘Isa’ | US Navy Cargo Truck

Описание: Now live in the Tracks & Trade Winter Auction 2025: an outstanding and rare 1943 GMC CCKW-353 “Jimmy”, restored in authentic U.S. Navy wartime livery. Produced in March 1943 as a 3rd-series open cab variant with front-mounted winch, this long-wheelbase 2½-ton 6x6 cargo truck stands out with its correct blue body over green chassis — just as used by the 31st Naval Construction Battalion (NCB) during WWII.

Originally delivered in olive drab and repainted for maritime use, this truck is believed to have served in the Western Campaign. After the war, it continued service with the Belgian Army into the late 1960s, before being restored and road-registered by a private collector. In 1994, it drove to Normandy under its own power, and more recently participated in BAIV’s Normandy Campaigns of 2019 and 2024.

Fully functional and historically authentic, this Navy-finished GMC is a rare alternative to the many standard green trucks seen at events. It runs well, presents beautifully, and will be delivered with fresh service and maintenance.
