Arrival in Keflavík shortly before midnight.
A short night, then back on the road.
This day moves along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian plates are slowly separating. The landscape here is shaped by tension: cracked lava fields, open fissures, wide empty stretches where nothing seems settled.
The Blue Lagoon sits directly on this volcanic ground. What is usually presented as a spa reveals itself more as a geological surface — hot mineral water rising through black stone, steam drifting in cold air.
The day ends at Strokkur, where underground pressure regularly forces boiling water into the open. No schedule. No performance. Just repetition.
A quiet sequence of places formed by movement rather than age.
