My apologies for the lack of uploads over the past view months, I’ve been busy with work and haven’t had much time to get out and film lately. However, I did manage to snag this video last night of the very last Convair 580 still active in Canada. The only other remaining Convair is classifies as a 5800 and has a stretched fuselage.
In recent months, the Convair 580 has become a very rare sight here at YKA, and the vast majority of our KF flights have been operated by the newer ATR-72-500’s that have been steadily replacing the old Convairs. In fact, the last time I recorded the Convair was several months ago. Needless to say, I was thrilled to get some more footage of this beauty, and perhaps for the very last time as well.
