History section : The EBRC (Engin Blindé de Reconnaissance et de Combat) Jaguar was born from France’s ambitious Scorpion Program, a multi-billion euro initiative designed to drag the French Army’s cavalry and infantry units into the digital age of the 21st century.Jaguar was specifically engineered to replace three aging Cold War-era veterans: the AMX-10RC, the ERC 90 Sagaie, and the VAB Mephisto. Unlike its predecessors, which often had to choose between heavy firepower or high mobility, the Jaguar serves as a "jack-of-all-trades" scout. It features a unique 40mm Cased Telescoped Armament System (CTAS) that uses compact, cylindrical ammunition to punch far above its weight class, alongside the Akeron MP (formerly MMP) anti-tank guided missiles for engaging heavy main battle tanks.
