Here's a poem read by it's author, Patrick Hill (1900-1980), about recovering after a big St. Patrick's Day night at O'Gara's in St. Paul, Minnesota. Photos from the McKiernan Library collection including some dearly departed musicians from our community: Patrick Hill himself, Martin McHugh, Jamie Gans and Bob Douglas. The beautiful black and whites are by David Aronow.
The audio is from a late-'70s recording made by Tom Dahill, Charlie Heymann and Barbara Dahill. John Curtin and Paddy Hill's wife Sinda were present.
