Описание: This lecture video is an introduction to 'thick cylinder' theory (i.e. 'D/t' ratio less than 10), outlining the derivation of Lame's equations relating to the calculation of both the radial and hoop stress distributions through the cylinder wall. A second presentation shows how Lame's equations are applied to thick cylinder problems, and the calculation of the maximum radial and hoop stresses occurring in the vessel wall.
