The Antarctic Circumpolar Current, the strongest ocean current on Earth, flows uninterrupted around the continent, redistributing heat and nutrients across the globe. Its cold, nutrient-rich waters are among the most productive marine regions on the planet.

The Arctic Ocean is the smallest and shallowest of the five oceans, located around the North Pole and largely covered by sea ice for much of the year. Despite its size, the Arctic Ocean is vital to Earth’s climate system, acting as a heat regulator and reflecting sunlight through its ice cover.
