This Florida Keys adventure takes us from the open ocean straight to the dinner table.
We start the day out on the water, diving and spearfishing where we’re lucky enough to land a cero mackerel. Back on land, we clean and prep the fish before turning it into a sunset sushi date night in the bed of the truck — overlooking the water, sipping an Italian merlot, and watching the sun go down.
For our homemade sushi night we prepare nigiri and sashimi, paired with soy sauce, ponzu, and wasabi — fresh, simple, and unforgettable. After dinner, we head out to Castaways in Marathon, Florida, where we kick things off with crab queso dip and crab rangoon, then share the 7 Seas sushi roll and the King of the Jungle roll.
We end the night the only way you should in the Keys — with a slice of key lime pie.
