Every farm, ranch or Homestead needs a chainsaw. For us, that is an Echo 351, backed up with the big dog, a Husqvarna 262. It doesn't take too long before you need to sharpen your chain! Hand sharpening will only take you so far as even the professionals will acknowledge that you have to get your chain on a bench chain grinder ever 5 sharps or so to reset your angles and take down the gullets. I have been sharpening chains for about 35 years and like to think I can throw a sharp that will 'pull bark on both ends' of the chips! Here is how I do it! Like anything, no matter how good you think you are - you only get better by listening to your mistakes.
