Microsoft Backlash Explodes — Windows 25H2 Is Destroying Millions of PCs

Описание: Microsoft is facing growing backlash over Windows 11 25H2 as users report a series of serious update-related problems, performance issues, boot failures, recovery problems, and emergency patches. In this investigation, we break down the Windows update problems that have fueled growing distrust among the Windows community throughout 2025 and 2026.

From the Windows Recovery Environment problems linked to KB5066835 to the January 2026 KB5074109 update and reported UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME boot failures, the Windows 11 update pipeline has faced a troubling chain of problems. Some users have also experienced shutdown and hibernation failures, Remote Desktop problems, authentication issues, and cloud-sync disruptions.

The controversy becomes even bigger with Microsoft's forced Windows 11 25H2 rollout. Microsoft has increasingly used machine-learning-based deployment to move unmanaged Windows 11 Home and Pro devices toward newer versions, raising questions about user control, update transparency, reliability, and whether Windows users should be able to permanently delay major feature updates.
