This live stream will help you prepare for the 4th Annual HVACR Training Symposium (see https://hvacrschool.com/symposium for more details). Bryan, Jordan, Eric, and Genry discuss some of the sessions we can look forward to and other general things to expect about the event. The symposium will be held at the Kalos HQ in Florida and is open to virtual attendees.
The symposium's title sponsors this year are measureQuick ACCA. ACCA gives tradespeople a voice in government and measureQuick does a great job of supporting trades education and helping the industry set standards, and their support means a lot to us. The virtual live stream sponsor is TruTech Tools; the team at TruTech has been kind enough to enhance the live stream experience with audio and visual upgrades. SmartAC, which helps monitor system performance and helps HVAC technicians predict potential problems, is the food and beverage sponsor. Gold sponsors include TEC, Inficon, DiversiTech, Refrigeration Technologies, Santa Fe Dehumidifiers, RetroTec, and Parker-Sporlan. Silver sponsors include NAVAC and Fieldpiece.
People who watch 16 hours of symposium sessions will be eligible to apply for 16 NATE CEUs after the event. Up to a couple of weeks before the symposium, we will send a survey that allows you to submit your continuing education proof and feedback about the event.
The virtual symposium will be hosted on https://hvacrschool.com/. In-person and virtual attendees will be able to access the sessions on the website for up to 9 months after the symposium ends, and sessions will be shareable. You can buy virtual tickets before, during, and after the symposium.
The symposium will run from January 19th to 21st; each day will run from 7:30 AM to 5 PM with a break for lunch from 12 PM to 1 PM. The final day of the symposium will end a bit earlier, and there will be an afterparty at The Southern on 8th. An afterparty sponsored by Refrigeration Technologies and Midwest Tool will also occur at Graffiti Junktion after the first day.
Due to insufficient parking, there will be a shuttle service running between the Citrus Tower and the Kalos HQ. The symposium also has a live-streaming studio where attendees or speakers can create content for their own social media channels.
Session topics include VRV/VRF tech talks (Roman Baugh and Steve Cook), ventilation (Dr. Allison Bailes), pressure enthalpy (Eugene Silberstein), fundamentals (Trevor Matthews), flammable refrigerants (Don Gillis, Dr. Chuck Allgood, and Jason Obrzut), M1 (Jose De La Portilla), equipment selection (Ed Janowiak), duct renovation (David Richardson), inverter mini splits (Craig Migliaccio) and more.
