Описание: I am grateful for the handwritten arrangements in my manuscript book arranged by Adam R. Kleczewski. He wanted me to have the satisfaction of experiencing folk dance music and made it possible for me to accompany folk dance lessons by arranging something I could play in my early grade school years.
Adam R. Kleczewski was my first piano teacher in Milwaukee, WI. He died in 1992 at age 82. He had been a prisoner in WW2 of the Germans, captured during the German blitzkrieg in 1939. He had lived in Krakow, Poland where he studied physical education at the Jagiellonian Univ. (Founded in 1364 by King Casimir III the Great.) During 5 years in war camps, he organized activities for the prisoners, including physical fitness, theater and a band. He and his family came to Milwaukee in 1951 sponsored by Milwaukee's YMCA. He organized recreational programs for children and helped displaced people, teaching piano, accordion, turning pianos, and organizing a band. He helped organize the Polish Summer Vacation School and was a member of the Polish-American Congress. He worked and taught until the mid-1980's. I was one of his first piano students.
