SNES Longplay [372] The Chaos Engine (2 Player)

Snes port of the Amiga Original - The Chaos Engine. Its a good port of the game, everything is pretty much intact. The only real issue is the limited horizontal resolution so you cant see the enemies soon enough on later levels and if you do your dead as you are dead. The Priest was renamed to The Scientist when the game was ported to the snes in the US as Soldiers of fortune. unfortunately when it was brought back to the EU, it kept the Scientist.

Game is played in 2 player mode (difficulty is about the same as single player on hard), lots of enemies whic have a fast rate of fire. This is definitely not a longplay you want to watch if you want to spot all the secret areas. 2 drunken n00bs were selected from the local bar to go up against the Chaos Engine. With a massive lack of communication between the players and always on edge thinking an enemy is gonna spawn underfoot any moment, this is far from an optimal run ;)

We had completed the Amiga version many many years ago, but you would never know it looking at this vid. We just dont haz the skillz or patience for this game style no more ;) Health is a constant issue throughout the longplay and we are constantly moving all over to avoid that 1 hit that would end us. -
