Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on Saturday (February 1, 2025) that a special Makhana Board will be set up in Bihar. “This will improve production, marketing, value addition of Makhana in the State,” said Ms. Sitharaman. Her Budget will have measures on – taxation, power sector, urban development, mining, financial sector and regulatory reforms.
