PATH Forward: Communications Based Train Control and Positive Train Control

Описание: Presenting PATH Forward; our plan to update the PATH system to provide better service with enhanced safety.

As part of our 10-Year Capital Plan, we’ll be upgrading our signal system to work with state-of-the-art technology called Communications Based Train Control, or CBTC for short.

We’ll also be making upgrades to the PATH system to include new federally mandated Positive Train Control technology, or PTC for short, to ensure enhanced safety on PATH trains.

With these new CBTC and PTC enhancements and upgrades, you’ll benefit from a less crowded and more reliable PATH system for years to come.
