The Cassynth is a very unique instrument. By modifying a vintage cassette deck, you now have a very cool and powerful synthesizer, sampler with unlimited possibilities. Use any pre-recorded cassette. Record your own cassette (you must record using another cassette recorder as Cassynth is a playback only unit). By changing tapes, your sounds and effects are endless. It is all up to your imagination! Cassynth is completely analog! Lo-Fi analog goodness that can be applied to almost any genre. Although the cassette deck is vintage, they are brand new old stock.The modifications and control box are all hand wired and tested in house. The Cassyth is a modified GE portable cassette deck. The cassynth lets you control many aspects of the deck to produce unique and one of a kind sounds. Also sounds great when using reverbs, delays, flange and more.
Comes with power supply, but can also run on batteries if needed.
