GBO2 Gundam Ez8 (Post-Buff): "I'm going to live!"

Описание: This video contains three matches I had with the recently buffed LV1 and LV4 Gundam Ez8 on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 350-550 cost general with Offence System, a powerful downswing, high HP alongside a very powerful limiter release vulcan gun. It suffers from being somewhat slow, from having a slow downswing animation, from having an awful primary weapon, from having very long reload time on the vulcan limiter release alongside the regular vulcan gun being pretty mediocre. This suit was recently buffed with 16000/18000/20000/22000/24000 HP depending on suit level, more custom part slots at every level, more turning speed starting at 450 cost, LV1 Pursuit Aux. Melee Program starting at 400 cost, LV1 Offence System starting at 350 cost, LV2 Offence System starting at 450 cost, 70/80/90/100/110 vulcan power depending on suit level, 60 ammo for the vulcans, 0.5 seconds swap time for the vulcans alongside the addition of a limiter release mode for the vulcans.

Its primary weapon is a bazooka with 1500 power, 7.4 seconds cooldown, 6 ammo, 17.5 seconds reload, 2.2 seconds swap time, 325m range and 80% stagger value. This instantly staggers, but has pretty awful performance otherwise. It has long swap time, long cooldown time and long reload time, which makes it awkward to use.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2000 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 160% downswing modifier. This has high damage potential if you can consistently land the downswing, but this is awkward to do since the animation is a bit slow. The downswing has a long recovery time too, so depending on how close you are to the enemy when downswinging them, it may be impossible to follow up with another downswing before they get up with i-frames.
Its first sub weapon is a vulcan gun with 70 (40x3) power, 60 ammo, 450 (512) RPM, 8 (18) seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 525 (1023) DPS and 5% (5%x3) stagger value. This is pretty much just a regular low cost vulcan gun, better than some others since it can actually stun on its own, but still impractical to use in a pinch. You can press square when the vulcan ammo is full to activate the limiter release mode for 10 seconds, this temporarily grants infinite ammo and improved performance. This limit release mode has high DPS alongside the ability to stagger enemies in just 0.8 seconds, but this comes at the cost of needing to go through an extended reload time once the timer runs out.

The LV1 Ez8 has 16000 HP, 10 ballistic resist, 12 beam resist and 18 melee resist. It has a bit more HP than the typical general at 350 cost, making it possible to stick on the frontline for longer. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Offence System for defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 125 (128 including ground affinity) walking speed, 180 boosting speed, 60 thrust and 57 (63 including affinity) turning speed. It doesn't have the worst mobility or anything, but it is a little lacking for a suit that wants to get close and melee as much as possible.
It gains access to LV1 Pursuit Aux. Melee Program, but only starting at 400 cost.

In conclusion, I feel that the Ez8 has become stronger, but not strong enough. It does a bit more damage now, and Offence System partially alleviates the weaknesses of having a slow downswing, but it still isn't doing incredible amounts of damage or anything, especially compared to the Hygogg or Sliferail. The slow downswing also hurts its frontlining ability quite a lot, since it makes it a struggle to consistently go from a stagger into a knockdown, when other 350 cost frontliners don't struggle with this at all. It can now easily stagger enemies with the limiter release vulcan gun, but 18 seconds reload time really sucks, it means that you often can't use it when you really need it, and it is still stuck with the awful GM Ground Type bazooka. Its slow boosting speed and just okay walking speed compounds with all of these issues, making it hard to get close enough in the first place to even attack them. It gets Pursuit Aux. Melee Program, but only at 400 cost, where it is obviously far outclassed by the Gundam. I think that they need to go back to the drawing board with this suit, it needs improvements in every area. Melee animations, mobility, stagger ability, reload time, melee burst damage... It would need buffs in all of these areas before it could even hope to be a meta choice at 350 cost, let alone 400 cost. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed watching!
