Their island nation of Seychelles gave PM Modi their highest honour called the Guardian of the Blue Horizon award.
PM Modi became the first person in the world to receive this award.
After this Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif mocked this award publicly.
He called it a fake award.
He suggested the award was not genuine or credible.
What was the controversy about the award?
When PM Modi visited Seychelles the award had some digital design elements added to it.
The Seychelles government explains that the cabinet had approved the award just a few days before Modi's visit.
So there was not enough time to prepare the full traditional physical award.
The Seychelles government itself gave a clear explanation.
It was completely genuine and officially approved by their cabinet.
How did India respond to Pakistan?
The Indian government responded very sharply and directly.
Government sources said Khawaja Asif is someone with a disturbed mental state.
The fact that Pakistan has handed over the defence ministry to such a person clearly shows Pakistan's current situation.
He has no other productive work to do.
He wastes his time making foolish statements about things he does not understand.
