Описание: A dispute over a single juror is now at the center of the Lindsay Clancy trial as the deadlocked jury returns Friday for a seventh day of deliberations.

According to the Associated Press, the jury foreperson told Judge William Sullivan that one juror was not following the court’s instructions on reasonable doubt. Sullivan questioned jurors individually, then reminded the full panel they are required to follow the law before sending them back to deliberate.

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington has argued the juror should be removed and says he wants any further debate over how the judge handles that juror to happen in open court.

The jury has twice said it cannot unanimously decide whether Clancy was criminally responsible for killing her three children. If that deadlock continues, the case could end in a mistrial.
