2/21/26 - In preparation for nesting season, I am going to start running the feed 24/7 (with restarts roughly every 12 hours so it gets archived). I'm also going to try to automate some of the features I have to do manually every day to keep it running, so I apologize in advance for any glitches where the feed goes down. The goal is to have it all sorted out by the time we see the first egg. :)
11/26 - Updated program to also grab temperature from the probe inside the box and display it with the outside air temp. I've always been interested in seeing the difference. And now we will!
10/3 - First sighting!
A live stream from inside an owl box in Roanoke, VA. The owl leaves the box just after sunset and gets back home just prior to sunrise. If you're checking this while they're out, you should be able to rewind the feed a few hours and see them.
