Exploring Fremont, Seattle in 4 HOURS 💯 MUST-DO travel guide! | Local Lens Seattle

Описание: I’ve lived in Seattle my entire life and can honestly say every neighborhood is different and brings so much character. With this, I decided to tackle each neighborhood and show off the BEST things to see and do!

I’m kicking off this new series on my channel ‘Neighborhood Watch’ at Fremont, a quirky neighborhood with rich history, TONS of water views, and fun shops to explore (which have all implemented safety measures to protect everyone from COVID). Here are my top must-do’s for your next visit.

1. When in Fremont, you NEED to see the Fremont Troll. It’s an amazing photo op- hello troll selfie (TROLL-FIE???)! There's always people here because it's truly an iconic landmark outside of Downtown. The public sculpture was created in 1990 and it’s right under the George Washington Memorial Bridge.
2. Canal walks/ Bridge Walks- Fremont is so walkable! You can walk over the bridge and see amazing views as well as along the canal. No matter the season its truly a breath of fresh air.
3. So many sculptures/monuments- So much to see in town including a couple other must see sculptures. Statue of Lenin and The Rocket are two of the most notable, both with interesting stories you can read all about.
4. Food/Shops- So much to choose from. Some of my favs are The Fremont Brewery- dog friendly- and fun to sit outside and grab a quick drink. Theo’s Chocolates… need I say more. And my favorite shop to find hidden gems? Fremont Vintage Mall!
5. Gas Works Park- Views for days! You’ll get the most beautiful view of the skyline. If you recognize the structure, you may have seen it in Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles’ 1999 teen movie 10 Things I Hate About You! Right alongside the Burke Gillman Trail, I’d recommend renting bikes to go on a cruise with friends!
