If you are using AutoCAD , and the Open File Dialog Box disappears when you are trying to open a file you could have inadvertently changed one of your system variables.
It’s easy to fix so don’t panic!!!
At the command prompt type “FILEDIA” and Set this system Variable to “1”.
This should resolve your issue.
